Squint Surgery Squint Surgery Misalignment of the eyes (strabismus/squint) occurs when both eyes cannot look in the same direction simultaneously. Squint can be caused by inheritance, Down syndrome, brain tumors, or cerebral palsy. The surgery resolves misaligned eyes and associated symptoms such as decreased vision, depth perception, double vision, and difficulty reading.
ROP Screening ROP Screening Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) affects the retinal blood vessels and makes the eye blood vessels grow abnormally and randomly in premature babies and babies with low birth weight. ROP screening is performed when your baby is between 4 and 6 weeks old to detect any signs of the condition, including abnormal eye movement and white pupils.

This measurement indicates whether your child has pediatric glaucoma, an eye disease that can lead to vision loss if untreated.
Lea symbol combines optotypes and pictures to measure visual acuity. This measurement helps to detect amblyopia, a flawed vision problem that can lead to vision loss if untreated.
Luneau Loose Prism Set and Titmus Stereo Acuity Chart Luneau Loose Prism Set and Titmus Stereo Acuity Chart Titmus stereo acuity chart consists of a large-disparity housefly, animals and nine circle sets viewed stereoscopically to measure the ability to perceive depth (stereopsis) and detect where stereopsis is absent. Luneau loose prism set is used to assess squint in the child.

Dr Kochgaway after leaving Sankara Nethralaya, started his practice at B B Eye Foundation, Kolkata as Senior Consultant – Pediatric, Cataract, Squint & Neuro-ophthalmology. Currently, he is Director – B B Eye Foundation VIP & Netralayam Eye Care Centre Pvt. Ltd.

After completing his Masters of Surgery (Ophthalmology) from Patna University (PMCH), Dr. Kochgaway joined fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai where he trained under the great teachers of Ophthalmology like Dr. T.S. Surendran who have trained some of the biggest names in Ophthalmology today. Dr Kochgaway was the first candidate to join the reputed Sankara Nethralaya-Orbis Pediatric Ophthalmology Training and Learning Centre as Fellow. Dr. Kochgaway was judged the Best Outgoing Fellow of his time.
